I’d set a goal of finishing Mom’s scrapbook this getaway at Colleen’s. Ready for bed now, and didn’t quite make it. Two more pages left.
Got a very early phone call this morning, they wanted to move Mom to Trenton hospital. There was an outbreak on the 2nd floor, so they were moving Mom to inpatients first then when the coast was clear, upstairs. I pleaded a bit, didn’t want two moves for her. Of course, to no avail, there are priorities in the hospitals these days.
My sister had offered to handle this move if I was away, so I had them call her at work. Apparently it all went well. Mom enjoyed her car ride with Dale to the hospital. Wow!!! she said as she passed the base. Scott stopped in tonight to see her, and she was still quite happy.
Phew. So very happy.
… so it’s 3 in the morning. Just poured Carol Lee a full glass of wine. We’ve all completed a layout, or close to it.
I was ready to crash 4 hours ago. Second wind or what???
Had a fright getting lost on my way up in a snow storm. So glad when I arrived at Colleen’s finally.
Carol Lee gave me a lovely book about breaking rules in scrapbook layout. Going to spend a bit of time looking at it tonight. Really should be giving it up and getting some sleep…
Stopped to see Mom on my way up here. Mentioned a few people to her that were asking about her. She didn’t know them. Poor dear. Told her again that she was moving back to Trenton hospital, like I told her again for the first time. Told her I would not be back until Friday as I would be in Brockville, and that Scott would come check on her to see if she needed anything. Hard to leave her, even this briefly.
