I loved to make things for the kids when they were little. I made Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls for all five of them. I made clothing for all five again, knitted or sewed on my machine, and I tried to make them unique in some way. They seemed to get a lot of pleasure from the sweaters, outfits and dresses, dolls and toys I made, but they especially seemed to enjoy the character mittens that I loved to knit for them. I figured as I worked on every clothing article, doll or quilt for them that there was nothing more cozy than wearing or cuddling something that your mother made you with the love that only a mother can have.
Here’s a layout of some photos of a pair of mittens I made for Chris that he especially loved.
Here’s a close up of one of the embellishments I made using Adobe Illustrator and my printer for, and/or my Cricut:

I haven’t lost the urge to make things for them with my own hands. But I’ve diversified into other media. Now I want to scrapbook so many memories for them.
