Been working on a few layouts for Scraptivity’s February kit. Nostalgic papers, can’t reveal them right now, but I couldn’t help but make a couple of layouts of Mom and Dad’s wedding with the papers.
Well, you know the rest. Reminiscing. Missing Mom especially. Not that I don’t care about my Dad, but he’s been gone 16 years now. Mom is still fresh. Not even a year since she is gone.
It’ll get better, I know.
Here is a layout of my little girl Mary. Photos were taken (mainly) in the back yard of St. George’s Anglican Church in Wooler, near the creek.
Plaid background paper My Mind’s Eye Bloom and Grow “Grow” Checking Out, flowered centre square Deena’s Penny Lane Maggie May “Chloe Lynn” Bright Moons Paper, plain centre and bottom strip Daisy Bucket Designs Merry Wishes All the Trimmings (left over from a kit I received at a Vicki Boutin class), large yellow and blue flowers Daisy Doodles by Prima, small yellow flowers Doodlebug Design Inc. Tidbits Bumblebee Assortment, journalling spot K & Company Wild Saffron Die-cut Cardstock, Cricut Calligraphy font for Dandelion lettering.
Layout is based on a sketch by Becky Fleck that I found on the Scrapbooks and Cards Today website (http://www.scrapbookandcards.com/).
Ok, here I try out for the Sketchy Thursdays Guest Design Team Challenge! Those girls are awesome, visit their website for their weekly challenges!

They post at least one every week, on Thursdays of course, and the deadline is the next Wednesday night to post a link to your interpretation.
