Yes, this rocks all right. So pleased to see that my layout for Case #110 has been put on the Watch List at CSI. This is the second time my layout was chosen – and I’ve only entered their challenges twice! Very kind of Debbi Tehrani to place my work on the list, and very encouraging :). Here’s the latest layout that was put under watch – featuring my eldest daughter Nikki Delage!

There are still a few days to play along with our sketch at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. We are very excited to be back for our first challenge after taking a break since July. The team has contributed some awesome layouts interpreting the sketch, and we have some awesome entries into the challenge!!
Tonight I have a very fun, busy layout of a very fun, busy boy where I incorporated 4 challenges from around blogland to share with you. No wonder I am tired!!!
Craft-Szafa’s challenge is to use a frame – so I used a sweet translucent frame around one of the photos I used of my grandson Kieran Zwanenberg.
Sketchabilities’ challenge is to use their sketch #109 as inspiration. I did so! Karan’s sketches are always delicious!
Scrap Africa’s challenge is to use chipboard that you’ve altered. I altered the swooping large arrow under the photos using various acrylic paints and a black marker to darken the edges.
Scraps & Pieces Emporium’s challenge was to use the word NEW in the layout. I used the word in my title.
I used some K&Company embellishments and papers, acrylic paint, brush marker, Sassafrass borders and Making Memories frame and acrylic heart in creating this layout:
Come play the new challenge up at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge – it’s a sketch this time around!! We’d love to have you visit.
I was visiting Sandi Taloumis’ blog and saw her entry for a challenge at SODAlicious. I’d never visited their blog before, so of course, my curiosity got the best of me. Their challenge right now is to art journal with the subject AWAKENING. Here’s my interpretation of the challenge:
I think I’ll be visiting this blog more often!
Excited to have the new challenge up at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge – it’s a sketch this time around. Come on out and play along with us!!!!
Because I was looking for some more fun after playing along with AFSC’s sketch challenge, I decided to play the challenges at Scrap Around the World and Once Upon a Sketch this time around. I was inspired by the luscious colours of the mood board at Scrap Around the World , and especially by the chevrons!!! Those chevron colours just SPOKE to me!!
Here is the sketch at Once Upon a Sketch – and a lovely one (as always) it is:
The journalling for the OUAS challenge was to be around the theme of “totally addicted to” – my journalling reads:
You two are totally addicted to having fun together. I am totally addicted to the two of you.
The layout features my daughters Stephanie Pennington Clifton and Mary Pennington doing what they do together. I used Crate Paper The Pier Sunscreen for the background, Doodlebug Design Inc. Take Note, and Basic Grey True Love Giddy for the borders under the photo.
I’m so excited !!! We have our first sketch reveal since the re-opening of Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. The design team has created some gorgeous interpretations of the sketch. Come down to the blog and play along with us!!!
This is my interpretation of the sketch – using Cathie Allan and Canadian Scrapbooker Super-stock paper, some acrylic pain, washi tape and embellishments that I had on hand:
