I wanted to make something special for someone special going through “stuff”. Their favourite colours i was told were orange and red. The only designer who could pull this off i thought was kaffe fasset and a simple design. Here’s what happened …

Mary and Erik were married here in our yard on October 19, 2019. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, and a fun event :).
Mary loves elephants, and they both are nature fans, so I made them an elephant quilt using the Violet Craft paper pieced pattern. They were very pleased with their gift.

I have traditional coloured Union Jack pillows as well as one in gray and black that I keep on my twin brother Gary’s bench. I wanted to make a paper pieced Union Jack quilt to go with them but could not decide in which colour way to create it. Instead of creating two quilts, I created in both colours!!
I’ve started quilting again – here’s one of two identical Canada 150 (Sesquicentennial) quilts I’ve made from Northcott fabrics. It’s given me confidence to continue and learn.
