Here is a layout of my son Chris Pennington, who dressed up as the Nintendo character Ness from the game Earthbound for Hallowe’en this year. He had some fun going to the game store just down from his place, where people stopped by that evening dressed up as game characters. He did a great job of the costume, and of dyeing the hat he wore to go with it.
I used the Canadian paper line Bizous (BZoo) for the black strip, Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection Apple Pie for the yellow strip, and Cathie Allan and Canadian Scrapbooker’s Super Stock for the white background. I made this layout for Scrap Africa, whose challenge this month is to use a recycled item in a layout. My recycled item is the oval coaster I used as the base for the title of the layout. I also used the January 2014 Sketchy sketch made by Sue Sykes for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine as inspiration.
