I have recently joined the Cricut Circle – looking forward to a lot of fun meeting the challenges, sharing ideas, and just learning more about my Cricut machines, Gypsy and cartridges. This month’s challenge is for a wonderful The Original Scrapbox – how cool is that????
For this month’s challenge we were to create using the theme Celebrating Creativity, use 2 cuts with our Cricut in the layout, use the shadow feature, and embellish at least one of our cuts. We were also to use patterned paper. I used the shadow feature on my scissors (cut from the Sentimentals cartridge), and used pearl embellishments on the scissors. My title “layouts” is made using the Gypsy Font that comes exclusively with the Gypsy machine. So there’s my two cuts and embellishment of one of them. My patterned paper was from K & Company Cut and Paste, as were the embellishments. I used a second sheet of the same patterned paper from K & Company to cut out the two larger flowers and place foam squares behind them to give a 3 dimensional feel to my layout. The green gingham from October Afternoon Ice Cream is another patterned paper I used in the layout, as was the music note paper I used for the top layer of the scissors. The other embellishments are from K & Company Cut and Paste Die Cut Cardstock.
This was a fun first challenge from Cricut Circle!!! I am looking forward to more knowledge and challenges!!!
