Well – I don’t know what you are waiting for – you should be popping over to Scrapbookers Anonymous and another Freaking scrappy challenge … to play their challenges for the beginning of February.
At Scrapbookers Anonymous the challenge is to use 3 hearts in your layout and stitch something in the layout!
At another Freaking scrappy challenge … the challenge is:
Just in time for Valentine’s Day next month – your first love – a real boy or girl, try to include a momento from that time with them, or download an image or something from that era from the internet if you wish. A pop or movie star crush can be substituted for a real live crush if you are too shy to tell us how it really was!!!
I combined the two challenges for my layout.
My first boyfriend and the boy I had a crush on in early school years are on my Facebook, and online – so I didn’t want to scrap about them, lol – although I am sure they don’t lurk on scrapbooking websites. Anyway, I was more comfortable scrapping my first pop star crush – Bobby Sherman. He was soooo cute, sang so well, loved him in a TV show he starred in and had such a gosh darn nice guy image. Here’s my layout using Little Yellow Bicycle Decorative Edge Ledger:
This posting is late – I’ve had problems on this computer, and cannot access my files from my husband’s computer. I am busy backing up files like crazy, because I think this computer is going to crash!!!
Come on over to another Freaking scrappy challenge … where we have a new challenge on to the end of the month!!! For this game we challenge you to feature yourself in costume, or a costume that you have made or inspired, incorporate the colour purple somewhere in the layout, place a surprise somewhere in the layout . If you do not celebrate Hallowe’en where you are – scrap about dress-up – either for a formal affair, or for play!! Now – you are welcome to play along and post your layout even if you are stumped on any of these requirements – we encourage you to play along regardless!! We don’t penalize – we like everyone to have some fun and play along in the spirit if they are able to! Here is my layout using Little Yellow Bicycle paper and featuring my daughter Mary at her class party a few years back!!
The new sketch (Sketch 88) was revealed at Little Shop of Sketches today. And guess what???? It was one of my sketches. Sketch 89 will be one of mine as well. I had a blast doing them. I had as much fun doing the layout for Sketch 88 – but that was mostly because I had a new little sweetheart’s photos to use, and some gorgeous pink paper I had tucked away for just the right layout.
Here is their latest sketch:
Here is my layout based on the sketch:
by Anne Pennington
On June 15th, our little granddaughter Emma Delage was born (see post and photos of her from last month). The photos in the layout are of she and I, at our first meeting soon after her birth. I used the Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Love line paper, and ephemera with a baby girl theme that I downloaded from the internet and sized appropriately for my layout. The flower embellishments were cut from a second piece of paper from the same paper line (Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Love – Love Garden). The pink hobby horse trim was something I picked up from somewhere at sometime (vague much????) and sprayed pink with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Pink Bubblegum.
I hope you enjoy working with the sketch as much as I did – come on over to the blog and play along with us!!!
