Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo is having a challenge to use tulle in your work this month. I used tulle as the fish net from which the fish are breaking loose from in this layout that features my daughters Stephanie Pennington Clifton and Mary Pennington. I used Bo Bunny and American Crafts Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go papers for this layout as well as Pebbles Chips and Jolees embellishments and Thickers Dear Lizzy font title.

And here’s what I did with it:
The layout features my youngest two children – Chris and Mary Pennington – cuddling together in a hotel room we rented in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada. I used Basic Grey paper, and Sassafrass embellishments from my stash. (Loving that Sassafrass). I hope you find the time to come out and play with us at the 123 Challenge Blog!!!

Excited to be playing with a new (to me) challenge blog called Fairy’s Challenges and using one of their latest sketch challenges for this layout. I used Cathie Allan’s and Canadian Scrapbooker’s Super Stock, as well as Dylusions and Liquitex inks for this layout. This layout features my daughter Mary Pennington and her friend Kelsey at Cosmic Adventures playground in Kingston, Ontario in 2007.
Don’t forget that the 15 March 2014 sketch challenge is up at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. And of course our 1 March challenge is still open to join in with. Come play along – we love new friends! You have until the end of March to play.
I’ve been wanting to play along with Black With 2 since I discovered the blog a few weeks ago, and I finally had a few minutes to do so tonight. It’s a great challenge blog with a cute spin – you start with a predominantly black layout, add the colours from the mood board they provide, use their sketch as interpretation, and add other criteria for that challenge to your layout. This month’s challenge uses the colours Lemon and Thyme, the word Sunshine and a sketch. Here is my take on the March challenge using plain black cardstock, Sasafrass scrap pieces, and some Heidi Swapp embellishments and titling. I’ve used their sketch, colours, and the word Sunshine as instructed (top of the circle). My layout features my daughter Mary Pennington hamming it up for the camera:
I haven’t been posting any of my class or kit layouts lately, but some of them are just too pretty not to share. Here are a couple of double page layouts designed by Vicki Boutin featuring my daughter Jacqueline Pennington and her fiance Greg Campbell:
Here’s a sweet layout designed by Kelly Goree, and featuring my daughters Mary, Jacqueline and Stephanie Pennington:
