Wow – made a layout I love today for two exciting challenge blogs’ challenges for May.
Off the Rails Scrapbooking has a mood board for May and I LOVE it!
And the challenge over at Challenge YOUrself is to use the song “This One’s for the Girls” as your inspiration. I used the line “this one’s for all you girls” as an intro to some advice I would have liked to have given my 3 eldest daughters way back when. But they seem to live that advice anyway :).
Here is my layout using a photo of we four in Niagara Falls before I was actually part of their family. It is one of my happiest memories.
Yes, this rocks all right. So pleased to see that my layout for Case #110 has been put on the Watch List at CSI. This is the second time my layout was chosen – and I’ve only entered their challenges twice! Very kind of Debbi Tehrani to place my work on the list, and very encouraging :). Here’s the latest layout that was put under watch – featuring my eldest daughter Nikki Delage!
Wow – so happy – first layout of the year, on the first day of the year! Happy New Year all!!
I’ve been busy organizing in my new scrap space, and I have to say, I am feeling very spoiled indeed. We’ve just finished putting an addition on our house, and my husband said I was welcome to have the entire new basement for my studio. I love it! It is bright, spacious, has our new second bathroom right off of it, our old couch (for napping), or for someone to sit while they keep me company. The new laundry room (closet) is at the end of the room, and their are two storage closets. I am really, really happy, and know I am very, very fortunate.
To top it off, our lovely children bought a nice TV for the room. My husband mounted it on an articulating wall-bracket. I moved my twin brother Gary’s table down here to use as my worktable – I can think of him while I create. Things are getting super organized down here, and so now it is time for a break to create!!
Here is a layout based on December’s Sketchy Challenge at Canadian Scrapbooker using K&Company Urban embellishments, K&Company paper, Basic Grey Out of Print Special Feature paper, a few other scrap papers, all layed on a Cathie Allan and Canadian Scrapbooker’s Super Stock background. The photo is of my eldest daughter Nikki Delage, and my sweet youngest granddaughter Emma Delage at our daughter Stephanie Pennington’s wedding 8 September 2012. Hope you enjoy it!!!
There’s a new sketch over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge and here is my take on it using Authentique Carefree Collection Radiant, Relaxed, Easygoing, and Content papers and featuring our daughter Nikki Pennington. If you haven’t played along with us yet, please do! You will enjoy yourself and make new friends!

This is one of my favourite layouts in a while – and I made it for the challenge at Kraft it Up this month! The challenge:
** NOVEMBERS CHALLENGE **
MINIMALIST / WHITE SPACE –> That is your challenge this month, your layout needs to be created on Kraft CS or Kraft PP and should show a large large amount of White Space.
My layout features our daughter Nikki Pennington sitting on her children’s swing. I stole it from her Facebook page, and thought it was a lot of fun! There is a lot of white space – well kraft space – in this layout!!!

Here’s some more layouts I did with Kelly Goree’s designs that I purchased from the lovely Catherine Tachdjian at Scrapfest. The kit was left over from one of the Crop and Create events that Catherine and the girls from Scrapbooks and Cards Today hosts. The layouts feature my daughters Nikki, Stephanie, and Jacqueline Pennington.
