I was having a hard time to put together my layout for the 1 January 2013 reveal over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. I had already chosen my papers, and my colours were chosen to play along with the Scrap Friends colour palette challenge, but I was stuck on the design. Time was running out. Fortunately, with thanks to time zone differences, Once Upon a Sketch had already revealed their sketch and theme of “the start of something new” for January 2013, and that was what I needed to get the layout done. In keeping with Once Upon a Sketch’s theme of the start of something new (not worrying), our theme at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, and the colour palette at Scrap Friends, here is my layout using Echo Park This and That Red Floral and Quilt paper:
Our theme over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge is:
What will be your new year’s resolution this year. What do you wish you could resolve and stick to???
If you have not made a resolution for this year, scrap about your resolution from another year. Were you successful? Would you do it again??
My journalling is a quote from Corrie ten Boom reads:
Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength – carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”
The framed embellishment I found on Facebook, and the image carries the url address http://www.bravegirlsclub.com, so I assume it originated there. It reads:
Every minute spent worrying is a minute that could be spent dreaming, loving, thanking, serving, creating, enjoying … be kind to your minutes and they will be so kind to you.
Come play along with us at AFSC, it’s a lovely bunch who come visit there – and we love to see what you create! You always have until the last day of the month at 10 pm EST to enter in either our 1st of the month prompt challenge, or our 15th of the month sketch challenge!!
