White With 1 has a fabulous challenge this month and it is to use the colour opera mauve with white:
Here is my take on it – the colours are not coming out true in the light I took the photo with, but it is definitely opera mauve. The photo features my super awesome and much loved grandchildren Emma Delage and Robert Campbell.
There is a great challenge over at the 123 Challenge Blog and it is to use these three criteria in your work:
This was a great challenge for me, as I don’t work with the colour lilac much at all. But I sure do enjoy doodling and I think I pulled it off … why don’t you join us at this lovely blog for the challenge this month? It’s a great group of people there!!!! This is a photo of my awesome eldest granddaughter Brynn Zwanenburg when she was a sweet little one.
Wow – made a layout I love today for two exciting challenge blogs’ challenges for May.
Off the Rails Scrapbooking has a mood board for May and I LOVE it!
And the challenge over at Challenge YOUrself is to use the song “This One’s for the Girls” as your inspiration. I used the line “this one’s for all you girls” as an intro to some advice I would have liked to have given my 3 eldest daughters way back when. But they seem to live that advice anyway :).
Here is my layout using a photo of we four in Niagara Falls before I was actually part of their family. It is one of my happiest memories.
The challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy for the month of May is to create a work about your favourite place.
Well I actually have a few favourite places (lucky me) but one of them is in my home – my studio where I do my scrapbooking amongst other things :).
We welcome any medium, and you may join in with other challenges with the work you create for us – we love to see your work! We are a friendly bunch – come join us!
Here is my piece for this month’s challenge:
LOVE the challenge over at the 123 Challenge Blog this month (all of May). The challenge is:
My take on the challenge features my son Chris Pennington and his two buddies at prom. The background paper is from 7 Dots Studio, and the rest are scraps from my stash. Come play along with us!! 123 Challenge Blog
Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo is having a challenge to use tulle in your work this month. I used tulle as the fish net from which the fish are breaking loose from in this layout that features my daughters Stephanie Pennington Clifton and Mary Pennington. I used Bo Bunny and American Crafts Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go papers for this layout as well as Pebbles Chips and Jolees embellishments and Thickers Dear Lizzy font title.
Here is the layout:
Well, here it is another year, and i hope to post more often here this year – and to visit my friend’s blogs as well as new creative blogs. 🙂 And a few more resolutions that i’m not doing too badly with so far …
My friend Alicia Redshaw has an awesome scrapbook store in Australia called Scrapbook Fantasies (I haven’t been, but I rely on some very reliable eye witness testimony) and she also runs the challenge blog 123 Challenge Blog where their challenge this month is to combine:
Here is my take on the challenge – where I was not afraid to use YELLOW in bulk, lol. Loved working with the colour. My texture was created using stencils and white gesso.
