Maps and brads and a sad announcement

The challenge for 1 April over at Scrapbookers Anonymous is to use maps and brads in your layout. I decided to download a map of the area of Canada that my daughter Mary Pennington and I visited last summer. Our road trip was a blast, just full of adventure. We started out in Quebec City with my husband Scott Pennington and son Chris Pennington. Chris turned 18 while we were there, and so was legal age to order a beer with his lunch. We found a great outdoor cafe for lunch, because it is not a perfect summer day in Quebec City without having a drink in an outdoor cafe. The boys went home after our visit to Quebec City, and Mary and I carried on to New Brunswick where she met my aunt, uncles and cousins for the first time. We then carried on to Nova Scotia where we visited friends and Peggy’s Cove, Cape Breton Island and whale watched. We carried on over to Prince Edward Island where we visited all the Anne of Green Gables sites and saw the Anne play in Charlottetown. I may post about a couple of the adventures we had along the way at a later time.

Here is my layout using Crate Paper Toybox Collection Story Time and Basic Grey.

And now for the sad announcement. Theresa and Lea have announced that they are closing Scrapbookers Anonymous because they are finding that life is full, and the blog takes a big time commitment. They have provided many of us a forum to showcase our work, and use up our stash. They are lovely ladies who have really inspired me to use up my stash and not simply hoard it, and for that I am very grateful! Good luck ladies in all your endeavours, and I hope to keep in contact with you and all the talented design team.
